This is one insanely good Chicken Italia lasagna. Our Chicken Italia Mince is packed with all the flavour you need. Even the pickiest of eaters will LOVE this dish!
Ingredients
- 1 pack (500g) Chicken Italia mince
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 Onion (chopped)
- 3 Carrots (chopped)
- 2 Celery Sticks (chopped)
- 1 can Chopped tomatoes
- 4 tbsp Tomato puree
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 1 Vegetable stock cube
- 300ml Water
- 1 pack Lasagne sheets
- 30g Grated cheddar
- 90g Plain flour
- 90g Butter
- 400ml Milk
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C
- Heat the oil in a pan and fry off the onion, carrots and celery until slightly soft
- Once the vegetables have softened slightly, throw in the mince
- Keep stirring until the mince is cooked through and then add in the chopped tomatoes, oregano, vegetable stock (and water) and Worcestershire sauce
- Leave the mince to simmer for 15 mins whilst you make the roux
- To make the roux, melt the butter in a pan and whisk in the flour, cook this off for 2 mins and then gradually add in the milk, little by little. Stir constantly to ensure no lumps and once thickened, season and leave to the side
- Layer the lasagna—place half the mince in the bottom of the dish, top with pasta sheets, cover with white sauce, repeat this process again and then top with cheddar
- Bake in the oven for 35—40 mins
