Festive toad in the hole

Serves 4

Ingredients:

Yorkshire puddings

  • 100g Plain Flour
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 3 Eggs
  • 225ml Milk

Stuffing balls

  • 130g Stuffing mix
  • 200ml Boiling water

Pigs in blankets

  • Smoked streaky bacon
  • HECK 97% sausages

To serve:

  • Gravy
  • Rosemary

Method:

  1. Pre heat oven to 200 degrees.
  2. In a small bowl, add your Stuffing mixture and your boiling water as instructed and mix until combined. Set aside.
  3. Get your HECK sausages and wrap 2 slices of bacon around them.
  4. Pop your sausages into the air fryer for 10 minutes until partially cooked.
  5. Coat a small layer of vegetable oil at the bottom of your baking dish and pop into the oven to heat up.
  6. In a medium bowl, mix the flour and salt together.
  7. Add the eggs and a little of the milk. Whisk until smooth, then gradually add the remaining milk.
  8. Coat a small layer of vegetable oil at the bottom of your baking dish and pop into the oven to heat up.
  9. Add your Yorkshire pudding mixture in your baking dish and slowly add in your sausages.
  10. With a tablespoon, add your stuffing mixture on top of the Yorkshire pudding mixture and sausages.
  11. Place in the oven for 25 – 30 minutes until golden brown.
