This Mexican burger is exactly what it says on the tin. Layer up home-made guac and salsa for a taste sensation- mucho bueno!
Ingredients:
2 Steak and Butter burgers
2 burger buns
Chilli cheese, enough for 2 burgers, sliced
Salsa
Crème fraiche
Salad, optional
Jalapenos, optional
For the guacamole:
1 avocado, mashed
½ tub of cream cheese
Tabasco
Salt
Lemon juice
Method:
- Heat a little oil in a frying pan and sear the burgers until they are browned on both sides. Place the burgers on a lined baking tray and put in the oven for 10 mins at 180°C.
- Slice the chilli cheese and place it on the burger, then put them back in the oven for 5 – 7 mins until the cheese has melted.
- To make the guac, mash the avo up with a fork, add in the cream cheese, tabasco, salt and lemon juice.
- Toast the bun if you like, then add salad in. Add the burger on top, then the guac, crème fraiche and salsa. Add some jalapenos and voila!
