One of our Co-Founders, Jamie Keeble, recently featured in The Grocer magazine, where he discussed the growing importance of carbon labelling on food products.
As part of our commitment to being transparent about sustainability at HECK!, Jamie Keeble spoke to The Grocer about how carbon labelling can empower consumers to make more informed choices that benefit both their health and the environment.
HECK! was one of the first sausage makers to include carbon labelling on our packaging. Since introducing it two years ago, we’ve observed a positive change in our customers’ buying habits, as we’ve provided them with the means to make more informed choice about the food they’re putting in their shopping baskets.
We’ve worked with CarbonCloud to provide information on the carbon footprint associated with the production, processing and distribution of our sausages, burgers and rashers. Our carbon labels are a small part of the H.E.C.K. Care Code – a four-pronged approach to building a sustainable HECK! so we can empower shoppers to make choices about the impact of their purchasing decisions.
Jamie’s feature in the magazine highlights our dedication to leading the way in carbon-conscious consumption, and we’re thrilled to be part of this important conversation about the future of sustainable food.
