We recently had the pleasure of hosting the Yorkshire Agricultural Society’s Farmers Club at HECK! HQ.
The Yorkshire Farmers Club is a new initiative created by the Yorkshire Rural Support Network at the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. This social club brings together senior members of Yorkshire’s farming community and gives them a chance to take a break from the day-to-day of farm life, visit other businesses and connect with fellow farmers over industry insights and new experiences.
The group’s day began with a warm HECK! welcome, a cuppa and a chat, before they set off on a guided tour of our factory. Seeing how our sausages, burgers and meatballs are made gave them an insight into our production process, the quality standards we uphold and the care we put into sourcing each ingredient.
The tour was following by the highlight of the day - our sausage tasting panel! We invited the farmers to sample a selection of HECK! sausages, sparking a lively discussion around flavours, textures and future sausage ideas. Their feedback gave us some food for thought, and it’s always fun to see our products through fresh eyes (and taste-buds!).
We look forward to welcoming the Yorkshire Farmers Club back and continuing to build relationships with the people who make our local food industry thrive. Here’s to many more visits, new ideas and great conversations over a plate of sausages!
