Cooking Tips | Chicken Chipolatas

PAN FRY OVEN BAKE GRILL BBQ

Pan Frying Chicken Chipolatas

  1. Get the Pan Ready: Add 1 tsp of sunflower oil to a hot pan and heat for about 30-60 seconds.
  2. Start Cooking: Place your sausages in the pan—they should sizzle right away! The sizzling may soften as the sausages cool the pan down, but don’t worry, it’ll come back in about 15-20 seconds.
  3. Turn Down & Cook: Once the sizzle returns, reduce to medium heat and turn the sausages regularly, keeping them evenly browned on all sides.
  4. Perfectly Cooked: After 8 minutes of cooking and regular turning, your chipolatas will be beautifully golden and ready to enjoy!

Oven Baking (Fan Assisted)

  1. Preheat: Set your oven to 180°C.
  2. Get Ready to Bake: Lay out the chipolatas on a foil-lined baking sheet and place on the middle shelf.
  3. Bake & Turn: Bake for 12 minutes, then turn the sausages to brown the other side. Continue baking for another 6 minutes.
  4. Ready to Serve: After 18 minutes, your chipolatas should be cooked to perfection!

Health Grill (George Foreman)

  1. Preheat: Heat your George Foreman grill until the green light pops on (no oil needed).
  2. Cook & Turn: Add chipolatas, close the lid, and grill for 4½ minutes. Then turn the sausages and grill another 4½ minutes.
  3. Serve: After 9 minutes, your chipolatas should be perfectly grilled and ready to eat!

Charcoal BBQ

  1. Build the Fire: Crumple a ball of newspaper and place in the BBQ pit. Build a “wigwam” of small kindling around it and light the paper to start your fire. Add charcoal to the wigwam and let it burn until it glows orange, then brush the grill with cooking oil.
  2. BBQ Time: Place your chipolatas on the grill and close the lid if you have one. Let them cook for 6 minutes, then turn.
  3. Cook & Enjoy: Keep turning every few minutes to get an even cook, and after 12 minutes, your BBQ chipolatas will be juicy and full of flavor!
